Women board Detroit bus to twerk as 100+ partygoers take over the street

DETROIT (FOX 2)Video on social media showed Greenfield and Seven Mile being taken over, with more than 100 people storming the streets around a city bus.

Two women in the crowd of over 100 celebrating in the street climbed onto the front of a bus. The driver was helpless, he was surrounded.

Tay and Jay, as they called themselves, said they were sorry they had missed it last Saturday morning.

“Seven Mile showed up that night and to all the shaking butts that night, I'm so glad y'all came,” Tay joked after watching the video.

Not everyone is thrilled with those so-called wobbly butts, especially Detroit Deputy Police Chief Arnold Williams.

“It's just unbelievable that people would just do this,” he said.

FOX 2 is told that the illegal DPD neighborhood party group disrupted a party that started in the rental hall Quarter Pass 7 and then spilled out onto the street. That is not allowed.

“Around 2:48 a.m. (in the morning) it was done, all the officers were gone,” Williams said. “(Around) 2:58 a.m. we basically had an intersection take over.”

Drivers making donuts on the street, dancing on the bus and being downright disrespectful – to the neighbors.

“They're all parked along the streets and throwing trash,” said Larry Long, who lives nearby.

Long is 70 years old and is frustrated, but he feels like he has no power.

“You can't talk to them about anything,” he said. “They get angry, mad, or some of them take out their guns. And they want to act crazy, stupid, foolish. It's best not to say anything to them.”

And then the Detroit police come into the picture.

“Once we activated the lights and sirens, they were gone within two minutes,” Williams said.

They spread out in all directions, making it difficult to catch them. But this now viral video makes dpd's job a lot easier.

“Keep shooting video, keep giving us the opportunity to see who you are,” he said. “We're coming for you.”

Detroit police are looking for people who may have been ticketed for disturbing the peace, damaging public property and even watching a drag race.
