Atlantic City International Airport was evacuated early on Thursday morning after a fire alarm was caused to be emergency aid teams to erase the terminal, according to published reports.
The alarm sounded around 5:30 am, which led to a complete evacuation while police and fire staff investigated. According to the National World, the fire brigade of the airport gave it completely clear and passengers were allowed to return to the terminal as soon as it had been established that there was no fire or active threat.
WPG Talk Radio was the first to report the evacuation, including live updates from disturbed passengers.
No injuries were reported and the airport resumed the normal activities shortly thereafter.
Atlantic City International Airport serves passengers in South Jersey and the Greater Philadelphia region. It is known for its handy parking, shorter lines and easy access to large highways.
Spirit Airlines is the only commercial carrier at the airport and offers daily non -stop flights to important airports in Florida such as Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, Tampa and Myrtle Beach.
The airport is also a facility for joint use with the 177th Fighter Wing of the New Jersey Air National Guard, which operates F-16 fighter jets of the Basic.
No delays were reported at the airport from Thursday evening.
