A Westmoreland County church has reopened after being closed by fire nearly three years ago.
The bishop helped consecrate and rededicate the Ukrainian Catholic St. Vladimir Church in Arnold on Saturday. The church had been closed since a fire in December 2021.

“Today, even after a devastating fire a few years ago, they were able to rebuild this church and come together to let everyone know that they want to pray in this place again,” said Bohdan Danylo.
During the reconstruction, parts of the original building were restored: the facade and the original altar have been preserved.
Father Yaroslav Koval told Channel 11 he hopes the reconstruction will help the church community grow.
“A little seed, if you throw that seed into good soil, that seed will produce fruit,” Koval said.
On Sunday morning, the church held its first mass since its rededication.
