Watch Joe Rogan realize in real time that the story he’s talking about is actually fake news

The awkward moment when Joe Rogan slowly realized that the issue he was raving about was actually fake news went viral on social media.

On an episode of the podcast “The Joe Rogan Experience” released on Spotify last week, host Rogan kicked off (nonexistent) plans to ban people in Australia from growing their own food.

The people behind the (debunked) proposals were “damned creeps,” Rogan raged, suggesting it was an extension of the COVID pandemic restrictions and a way to smoke out anti-vaxxers.

Things quickly went wrong for Rogan, however, when he was unable to substantiate the story. Neither he nor his producer could find concrete details about the plans online.

‘It must be real. It seems too good not to be,” admitted Rogan, whose show has recently been mired in misinformation about coronavirus and racism scandals. He has admitted that he is a “damned idiot” and “not a respected source of information, not even to me.”

“Damn. Better not to be fake. It could be fake,” he added.
