This may sound like a complaint, but here is the thing: when I made my business for native instruments via e -mail, they returned to me in a day or two and agreed to place a free “not for resale” copy of Noire on my account as a goodwill -gesture. This was all politely performed, in flawless English and without unnecessary delay. It felt honest for me and I will probably continue to buy their excellent example libraries.
Customer service can be a lesser priority for most companies, but well done, it actually ensures future sales.

Don't take my Noire away!
Take better money
Finally, an almost trivial example, but one that worked so smoothly that I still remember my feeling of shock. “Where is the catch?” Almost summarizing it.
I am of course talking about March Madness, the annual NCAA College Basketball Tournament. It is a great spectacle if you can ignore all economic questions about too many paid coaches, not more amateur players, recruiting violations and academic disturbances that generate the large sports programs. And had my University of North Carolina Tar Heels juuuust Peak in this year.
Usually watching the tournament is a nightmare if you don't have a pay TV package. For years, streaming options were terrible, so you were forced to log in with your “TV provider” (ie an expensive cable or satellite company) account or otherwise jump through hoops to watch the games, which are generally displayed via three or four different TV channels.
I just wanted a simple way to give someone my money. No gimmicks, no intro offers, no “TV provider” BS -only a pure streaming game that places all games in one place, for a reasonable fee. When I investigated this year in the situation, I was surprised to discover that this existed now, it was easy and it was cheap.
The Max Streaming Service had all the games, except that shown on CBS. (You can't have everything, I think, but I get CBS in HD using an over-the-air antenna.) It was $ 10 for a month of service. There were no “intro offers”, no lock-ins, no “before you go!” Plea, nothing. Indeed, I didn't even have to create a new account or share a credit card with a new supplier. I just added Max as a “subscription” in the video app from Amazon and Boom – Tournament Time. It took about four seconds and it worked flawlessly.
