Ukraine saves soldier through drone delivery of full e-bike

Details from a frontline war zone are almost impossible to verify, but the brigade has shared many images, including photos of the drone that cancel the bike and a soldier who brings it back to safety along a tree border. (Both parties now make widespread use of e-bikes and motorcycles for fast infantry attacks After three years of drone warfare, many of the traditional armored vehicles have wiped out.)

In their story, a soldier with the callign “tankist” held a frontline position that was attacked, and some of his comrades were killed. Tankist was cut off from safety and had to keep the position alone for a few days.

To pick him up, Brigade staff came up with a plan to deliver an e-bike through a heavy bomber drone. The first drone was shot, while the second failed under the weight. But the third attempt was successful and Tankist was finally able to zip back to Ukrainian lines. (He apparently hit a land mine on the way and survived the journey on one second delivered e-bike.)

Amazon has of course had “drone delivery” for years and is currently testing delivery drones at locations in the US, including Pontiac, Michigan; Phoenix, Arizona; and Waco, Texas.

But these drones only deliver packages with a weight of less than 5 pounds and e-bike weighs considerably more.
