Two men stabbed to death across the street in the Bronx after a fatal assault in February

Two men were stabbed to death early Sunday in the Bronx — just across the street from where a man was beaten to death in February, police said.

A 24-year-old man was stabbed in the abdomen and a 27-year-old man was stabbed in the chest outside a Stratford Ave shopping center about 4.50am. near Westchester Ave. in Soundview, police said.

Medics rushed both men to Jacobi Medical Center, but they could not be saved. Their names were not immediately released.

    No arrests have been made.

The killing took place just steps away from where Jesus Garcia-Desiderio, a 46-year-old father of two, was beaten to death earlier this year.

Garcia-Desiderio collided with Alejandro Gonzalez, 23, and another man outside a restaurant around 4:40 a.m. on Feb. 17, police said. Garcia-Desiderio died three days later at Jacobi Medical Center.

Police arrested Gonzalez three months later in Bristol, Connecticut, and brought him back to the Bronx to face manslaughter and other charges in June.

Gonzalez remains held at Rikers Island as he awaits trial.
