Trump Executive Order calls for the next generation Rocket Defense Schild

One of the first national security guidelines of the new Trump administration is intended to defend themselves against rocket and drone raids on the United States, and various elements of the plan require an extension of the presence of the US Army in space, The White House announced on Monday.

For more than 60 years, the army has been launching reconnaissance, communication and rocket warning satellites in a job around the earth. Trump's executive order evokes that the Pentagon devises a design architecture, requirements and an implementation plan for the next generation of rocket -cutting shield within 60 days.

An important principle of Trump's order is the development and use of space-based interceptors who are able to destroy enemy missiles during their first boost phase shortly after the launch.

“The United States will take care of the common defense of its citizens and the nation by deploying and maintaining a rocket -taft shield of the next generation,” is the order. “The United States will scare and defend its citizens and critical infrastructure – every foreign air raid on the home country.”

The White House described the rocket department as an “iron dome for America”, referring to the name of Israel's regional rocketing weather system. While the iron dome of Israel is tailored to short distance missiles, the White House said that the American version will watch against all kinds of air strikes.

What does the order actually say?

The order of Trump is prescribed in what to do, but it leaves the implementation to the Pentagon. The White House said that the plan of the army should defend against many types of air threats, including ballistic, hypersonic and advanced cruise missiles, plus “other air strikes of the next generation”, a category that seems to be drones and an unguided missiles of a shorter distance include.
