    • Last week, actor TJ Miller spoke about a “weird” incident with “Deadpool” colleague Ryan Reynolds.

    • In a new interview, Miller said it was “really cool” that he got an email from Reynolds the next day.

    • Miller said it was a “misunderstanding” and that it was a “bummer” that the story became “clickbait”.

Actor TJ Miller said Ryan Reynolds emailed him and the two “Deadpool” colleagues “fixed it pretty quickly” after news outlets picked up a story Miller told about an incident on their shared movie set last week. .

“I think it’s weird that he hates me,” Miller said on the Oct. 5 episode of the podcast “The Adam Carolla Show.”

A SiriusXM interview with Miller was published Wednesday with the title “TJ Miller Makes Up With Ryan Reynolds”. In a two-minute clip, Miller says he heard from Reynolds via email the day after the podcast episode began circulating.

“It was really cool, he emailed me the next day and said it was a misunderstanding, and it was,” Miller said. “So I emailed him back and now it’s okay.”

Miller went on to explain that he hadn’t expected a response because he “didn’t think” about how his story about a strange memory of the set would have “repercussions.” Miller reiterated that he thinks Reynolds is funny and awesome in the “Deadpool” movies, but that all those compliments didn’t appear in the media.

“Because that’s the clickbait,” Miller said. “That’s really a downer.”

Miller said Reynolds was “really cool about it” and that he’s “a good guy.”

“It was really cool for him to say, ‘Hey, I just heard you were mad about this,'” Miller said of Reynolds. “I said, ‘I’m not,’ and we sorted it out pretty quickly.”

SiriusXM cohost Jim Norton asked Miller if he felt bad about the headlines saying Reynolds was “horribly mean” on set. Miller said he only felt bad that it was “recorded and misunderstood” and that he felt he hadn’t said anything negative.

On last week’s podcast episode “The Adam Carolla Show,” Miller had said he would no longer be working with Reynolds.

“We had a really weird moment on ‘Deadpool’ where he said, ‘Let’s do another take.’ And then, as the character, he was terribly mean to me like I’m Weasel,” the comedian said. “So he said, ‘You know what’s so great about you, Weasel? You’re not the star, but you do just enough exposition so that it’s funny, and then we can leave and go back to the real movie.'”

As Insider’s Pauline Villegas reported, “While Miller didn’t confirm it, the ‘Silicon Valley’ actor suggested he wasn’t being asked to return for the next film in the ‘Deadpool’ franchise.”

This wouldn’t be the first time Miller has been removed from a franchise. In 2019, “How to Train Your Dragon” director Dead DeBlois told Insider that Miller’s role was recast midway through production following reports of a sexual assault charge and an arrest on charges of invoking a fake bomb threat.

“I was hesitant to make the change, but it was a decision that came [from] high, you know, tied to his headlines last year,” DeBlois said in an interview with Insider in 2019. “So I went with it, but it’s a shame because he’s such a comedic genius and he really gave us some great stuff. . “

“Deadpool 3” will be released in 2024 and is the first installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
