The weekend’s best deals: Disney+ for $2, Anker chargers and more

The weekend's best deals: Disney+ for $2, Anker chargers and more

    Ars Technica

It’s the weekend and that means it’s time for a new Dealmaster. Our latest roundup of the web’s best tech deals includes a small but remarkable discount on a one-month Disney+ subscription. If you’re a new or expired subscriber to the streaming app, you can currently get a month of service for $2, less than the usual $8. Disney technically kicked off this promotion last week, but the offer will expire on September 19, so consider this a last minute PSA.

Obviously this isn’t a huge discount, but if you’ve already thought of checking out the Ars-approved Thor: Love and Thunder (which landed on the service earlier this month), try She-Hulk: Lawyer (which expires within this trial period), move to another Simpsons binge, or watch another Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, National Geographic or kid-friendly Disney shows, this is a lower barrier to entry after all. It also comes before Disney rolls out ads in this level of service later this year. Keep in mind that your subscription will automatically renew by default, but the terms of the offer state that you can cancel at any time without losing the discount month. Unfortunately, the deal is not available to current subscribers.

However, if you don’t want Disney anymore, our roundup also includes several deals on Anker’s recommended charging gear, a variety of discounts on top-rated video games, lower-than-usual prices on MacBook Pros and the M2 MacBook Air, and much more. You can find our full curated list of deals below.
