Subaru made waves on the New York International Auto Show in 2025 earlier this year when it unveiled its latest electric vehicle, the outback format trailseeker-and now Toyota is starting the promotion. As the next step in their permanent cooperation that has brought us the Toyobaru tweeling and the Solterra / BZ4X, Toyota has unveiled its own equivalent of Subaru's newest EV, and it is called the BZ Woodland.
The BZ Woodland -Name plate builds on two connections in the company, starting with the recently renamed BZ Electric Crossover from Toyota. The arrival of the new model means that the electric line -up of the Japanese automaker has grown from one EV to three in the course of a week. The second tie-in is one of Toyota's most popular models: the adventurous version of Toyota's Bread-and-B butter RAV4 goes through the Woodland name, which indicates more robust styling signals and mechanical pieces.

Toyota
The heart of Toyota's BZ Woodland is a 74.7-KWh battery that pumps 375 hp to all four wheels. Four-wheel drive is standard, thanks to an electric motor on each axis, and is supplemented with a power distribution system that is known as X-Mode, a transfer of Subaru. Grip control is also baked in X mode and offers a low speed of stream modulation for particularly smooth surfaces, and Toyota has even designed a cross-framing structure of the battery to increase the stiffness over raw surfaces. All this power and four -wheel capacity corresponds to a drag capacity of 3500 pounds, but do not expect the claimed reach of 260 miles up while it pulls so much weight.
Charging the electric Toyota is made easy thanks to a standard North -American charging system port, and claimed DC quickly charging of 10% – 80% in approximately 30 minutes. Pre-conditioning equipment is standard on the BZ Woodland, while a new Plug & Load system has to make charging more efficiently by automatically identifying and authorizing certain loading providers. Just like the new C-HR EV of the BZ and Toyota, the BZ Woodland will also benefit from a regenerative braking setting that can be adjusted using steering wheel mounted paddles.

Subaru
The BZ Woodland seems to be quite a bit longer than the original BZ, although it is also built on the E-TNGA platform of Toyota. Toyota still has to reveal exact dimensions, but an extra six centimeter length and 30 cubic foot loading space are present on the forest versus the regular BZ. 8.3 centimeters of ground freedom is also baked in every BZ forest; Available all-terrain tires only contribute to this dirt-road-ready story.
The interior of the BZ Woodland falls in line with its electric brothers, with a 14-inch infotainment screen, a six speakers audio system and chairs with softex-trimmed seats. There is only one equipment level of the BZ Woodland available at the launch, but some functions are option, including JBL Premium Audio, ventilated front seats and a panoramic Monday.

Toyota
Prices and specific production data must still be revealed. Toyota says that the BZ Woodland will be available at Dealers at the beginning of 2026. This timeline comes out with the person who has been laid out for the trailseeker; Likewise, Subaru also refused to mention a price when it initially launched its latest electric model.
