This may sound like the plot of a science fiction novel, but Musk has made it clear that he believes that it is an inevitable phase of technology.

His robot -like ambitions, however, can be confronted with a new obstacle. According to recent reports, the leader of the Tesla program leaves.

Apart from Musk, many of the leaders of Tesla are not generally known, because they usually operate behind the scenes, so that the different divisions of the company are built up and supervised. But on June 6, Milan Kovac revealed that he would resign from his position as Vice President Engineering at Optimus.

In a post on X, Kovac explained his plans for the future and stated that he felt the need to spend more time with his family abroad. “I want to make it clear that this is the only reason and has absolutely nothing to do with anything else,” he added, confirmed his support for both Tesla and Musk.

Kovac came to the company in 2016, initially as a Staff software engineer at Tesla's Autopilot Division. He spent years with these ranks, eventually he was appointed director and later vice president of Optimus.

During his years at Tesla, Kovac played a crucial role in shaping both his steering machine and robot -like humanoid technology. According to his LinkedIn profile, his responsibilities include “driving the technical teams responsible for all software foundations and infrastructure that is common between Optimus and Autopilot,” help both divisions ahead.

Kovac's departure seems to be due to strictly personal reasons and does not seem to be related to any controversy around Musk of Tesla. But his fast exit comes in a difficult time for the company, because it is preparing for an event to which Musk has matched many of his growth prospects.
