Stellantis warns of the loss of $ 2.7 billion for 1st half of 2025 due to rates and some major costs

Stellantis, the creator of Jeep and RAM vehicles, says that the provisional estimates in the first half of the year demonstrate a net loss of 2.3 billion euros ($ 2.68 billion) because of the American rates and some high charges.

The car manufacturer expects an impact of around 300 million euros for net rates, and also expects planned production losses with regard to the implementation of its response plan.

Stellantis also expects around 3.3 billion euros ($ 3.84 billion) to usually be related to cancellation costs and platform disorders, restructuring and the net impact of recent legislation that eliminate the café-penaltie rate before taxes. Automakers are punished if the average fuel consumption of an annual fleet of vehicle production exceeds a certain level.

Two months ago, Stellantis mentioned Antonio Philosa as his new Chief Executive Officer. He replaced Carlos Tavares, who resigned last year.

Stellantis, which is made of the 2021 merger of the French PSA Peugeot with the Italian car manufacturer Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, is the world's fourth largest car manufacturer. It is based in the Netherlands.

The Automaker provided preliminary financial figures on Monday in the absence of financial guidelines, which it suspended in April.
