Shasta Coroner releases the name of the Rescue Motorcyclist that the police led on High-Speed ​​Chase

    The Shasta County Coroner office announced the name of a rescue motorcyclist who died after he led the police for a quick chase and crashed his bike.

    Christopher Michael Scott, 35 years old, died of great injuries last Wednesday 10 September, the day after the crash, said Sheriff's Office spokesperson Tim Mapes of Shasta County.

    Scott rode on the motorcycle on North Market Street – the bottom of Miracle Mile – before 6:23 pm on 9 September when an Ridder Police Office signaled for him to stop for a violation of the vehicle code, according to Mapes and Rescue Police announcements.

    Allegedly, Scott has beaten, accelerated and fled the motorcyclist on Benton Drive in a westerly direction, the police reported.

    According to Scott, the officer reported to chase the Benton Drive area until he lost sight of him and his motorcycle, according to the Rescue Police.

    Shortly after the pursuit ended, Scott bumped into a crash barrier near Middle Creek Road, the south side of the River Sacramento. The impact threw him from his motorcycle, reported Het Graafschap.

    First Responders took Scott to Mercy Medical Center in Rescue. He died in the hospital the next day before 6 p.m., Mapes said, which led to a visit from the County Coroner.

    Officers reported Scott's relatives before releasing his name, the province reported.

    The office of the coroner has planned a post -mortem examination.
