School district brings tribute to colleague killed in the I-75 weekend accident

    A local school district has paid a tribute to a colleague who was killed during a weekend crash at Interstate 75.

    Tipp City schools expressed his participation in Tippecanoe Middle School -employee Jennifer Korleski, according to a post on social media.

    “Jennifer was known for her kindness, encouragement and genuine care for students,” said the school district on the Facebook page.

    As previously reported by News center 7Korleski died in a crash with several vehicles on the Interstate 75 Southbound past Route 571 is early Sunday morning.

    A preliminary investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) showed that a Ford from I-75 SB rode when it was delayed with traffic for an earlier crash. A Saturn from 2009, powered by Korleski, was also on the i-75 when it hit the Ford, causing it to fall and travels from the right side of the road.

    The Saturn came to a halt in the left lane, but was hit by a Jeep from 2021, according to the investigation.

    “We keep her loved ones, students and the Tippecanoe Middle School team in our mind during this difficult time,” concluded the school district.
