The now bar debuted earlier this year in the S25 series and uses AI on the device to process your data and present contextual information that you have to help all day long. Samsung has expanded the apps and services that support the now bar and now constantly updates it, but we have not noticed much difference.

Nine out of ten times the now bar offers no useful reports and the assignment is quite repetitive. It often only includes again, calendar appointments and a few clickbait-you-n-news stories and YouTube video is the case, even with all possible data sources. On a few occasions, the NOW BAR Correctly mentioned an appointment and proposed a route, but its timing was eliminated for about 30 minutes. Google did this better a decade ago. Samsung has also added an AI-felt audio version of the now assignment, but we found this pretty annoying and unnecessary if there is so little information in the report.
So the now bar is still a now bummer, but Galaxy AI also contains a horn of abundance of other common AI functions. It can rewrite text for you, summarize notes or web pages, make live translation, make generative operations for photos, remove background noise from videos and more. These functions work almost on any other modern smartphone. Whether or not you will benefit depends on how to use the phone.
However, we appreciate that Samsung has included a switch under the Galaxy AI settings to only process data on your device, so that the privacy problems of using AI in the cloud are eliminated. This reduces the number of operational AI functions, but that can be a desirable function.

Samsung tends to overload its phones with apps and functions. They are here too, which makes the Z fold 7 sometimes a bit frustrating. Some of the latest onion interface -tweaks, such as separating the fast settings and reports, fall flat. Fortunately, one user interface is also fairly adjustable. For example, you can mirror your cover screen and foldable home screens such as pixels, or you can have a separate layout for each mode. With some tweaking and removing pre -loaded apps, you can get the desired experience.
