    • It is not known whether RFK Jr. In Phoenix was for business or for vacation.

PHOENIXSecretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Was spotted hiking Camelback Mountain during the weekend, and what he was wearing caused some chatting on the internet.

    What we know

“It really made my day, it was really cool,” said Matt Larson, who met Kennedy on the path.

It is a meeting that Larson said he will never forget. He said he was walking Camelback Mountain when someone caught his attention.

“I noticed what a senior seemed to be,” said Larson. “I didn't have my contacts, so I couldn't see it so well, but he had a group of people around him, and they were very close to him, and I thought he had to have had a problem, such as autumn or a Hittekoppel.”

While they walked along the ultrasound side of the path, Larson walked up to offer some water.

“When I got close, I noticed that the older person spoke about politics to the people who save him,” Larson said. “I remember that I thought: wow, leave it to an old white, Boomer man to talk politically about his potential deathbed.”

Then the pieces started to coincide.

“At that moment I was close enough, where I recognized him, and I was like 'Woah. Is that [RFK Jr.]? “Larson said.

Larson then asked the men with the health secretary, whom he realized at the time, was safety for a selfie.

Larson said that Kennedy took the photo himself.

“It was about 92 °, I think, in terms of temperature, at that moment, so impressive for him to have done that at his age,” Larson said.

Walker Deric Keller, who took a selfie with Kennedy and a friend, said they met him around 6:00 am when he first started the path. They said the weather wasn't that bad and that they even talked to him for a few minutes.

“I remember thinking:” That would not be my choice for hiking clothing in this weather, “but you know, quite a generation,” Larson said. “It is what my father would probably have walked in, so it makes sense.”

Larson, however, added that “it is pretty risky for walking if you are not used to us again in the heat.”

Larson said politics aside, he is still unbelieving about the accidental meeting during the hard walk.

“I let some of my friends know – I don't know if you know this, but RFK is actually better in shape than you,” he said.

    The other side

The communication team of the Department of Health and Human Services has not yet confirmed whether Kennedy was in Arizona for business or if he was on vacation.
