Anti-vaccine lawyer and current health secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Went to Social Media on Wednesday to announce the names of eight people he appoints at a critical federal vaccine advice committee-that is currently empty after Kennedy abruptly dismissed all 17 earlier members on Monday.
In the past, the control process for naming new members to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Advice Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) can last years. But Kennedy only lasted two days.
The panel, usually filled with vaccine, infectious diseases and experts in the field of public health, carefully and public assessments, analyzes and debates vaccing data and offers recommendations to the CDC via voices. The CDC usually assumes the recommendations that have established clinical practices nationally and determine the insurance coverage for vaccinations.
Yesterday Kennedy promised that none of the new ACIP members would be 'ideological anti-vaxxers'. However, today's list of today's instructed includes Robert Malone, who wrongly claims to have invented MRNA vaccines and has spent in recent years spreading wrong information and conspiracy theories about them.
Speaking during an anti-vaccinrally in 2022, Malone spread dangerous lies about MRNA COVID-19 vaccines: “These genetic vaccines can damage your children. They can damage their brains, their heart, their immune system and their ability to have children in the future. Much of this damage cannot be repaired.”
Disturbing list
Malone was in line with the anti-vaccination play during the pandemic and has become a pillar in conspiracy circles and an ally of Kennedy. He has claimed that vaccines cause a 'form of AIDS', in the midst of other nonsense. He was also involved in reactions to the outbreak of measles that broke out in West -Texas in January. In April, Malone was the first to publish the news that a second child had died of the highly contagious and serious infection, but he did this to falsely claim that measles were not the cause and spread other dangerous wrong information.
