People who perform autopsies share the weirdest anomalies they have found, and the human body is a wild – and terrifying place

You would think that after seeing hundreds of bodies, nothing would surprise people who do autopsy for a living – but sometimes they even stay stunned. You recently asked you/atro_bella: “People who carry out autopsies, what was the weirdest/most unique anomaly you found?” And the answers did not disappoint. From misplaced organs and mysterite tumors to bodies with missing brains (yes, real), these professionals shared the wildest, weirdest things they discovered on the table:

1.“I played autopsies for almost decade. The most unique thing I saw was uterus Didelphys with a septate vagina. In principle, the vagina split into two and went to two separate cervix and two separate cervix cavities. The two parts of the uterus melted in one heart -shaped body.”

3.“In an earlier career I was a CID agent from the US Army. For every death investigation that required an autopsy, we had to send an agent to photograph and observe for the case. Maybe 90 days to live at the time of his death.”

4.“An old woman with an incredibly thick skull all the way around. Her brain was much, much smaller than it should have been, but according to her family she was completely functional and she did not show any shortages. She actually ran her own cheese-making company and died of a carbon monoxide leak.”

5.“I carried out an autopsy on an older patient with a heart valve disease and found a white plastic disc of one of the kidney arteries. It was identical to the disc of the tilting valve valve-Type mechanical aortic valve, which was unveiled in his place and that was normally from the churgical of the churgical from the churgical of the churgical from the Churgical of the Churgical of the Churgical From the Churgical From the Churgical From the Churgical Of The Patient. Aorta valve, the cage broke in front of the valve while the disc was installed.

“We have not found any evidence of any subsequent investigation to determine the residence of the lost valve component. So many years-apparent unknown to most of his caregivers and possibly even for the patient-haad, he submitted a heart valve disk in his kidney artery ostium.

6.“I did an autopsy of a young child, about 10 years old, who had Hydrocephalus and was a quadrivegical, but still retained some of his normal functions, such as talking and understanding – albeit at least. When I opened his skull, there was no brain. Golf ball.”

“Amazing how he survived until the age of 10!”

9.“As part of high school anatomy, we went to a local university on an excursion to work with bodies donated to science. They had a sign:” If you can't find it, they don't have one. ” A nearby body missed a part of the digestive tract (I forget what – attachment?).

“Another body was a dead motorcyclist and a heavy drinker, however, his body adapted. His liver was seriously twice as large as someone else there – perhaps more – and stretched completely over his hull. That liver was a beast.”

10.“At the medical school I went to one autopsy where the patient had a fistula (connection) between his aorta artery and his esophagus. He bleed that way. Scary to think about.”

11.“I observed many things during my professional autopsies. The most notorious was a man with four .22 bullets in his skull. He claimed no pain and apparently lived a normal life. His daughter told me he was a gang member when he was young. He died of a cardiac arrest at the age of 60.”

12.“A horseshoe – no more kidneys were melted at the bottom. Another person had a missing long lobe, so two lobes on each side instead of two and three, and not a sign of an operation.”

13.“I am a funeral director and an old woman was balanced who was still warm – she had died about an hour earlier. I could not get drainage at all, but I had the drain pipe in her vein, and the balancing liquid pushed through.

15.“In 1990 I completed a group car in an advanced human anatomy class. An 85-year-old patient had a tumor in her brain. It was the size of a golf ball on her right lobe-known for her before death. She died in her sleep of natural causes.

16.“I am not a regular autopsy artist, but I do a lot with forensic archeology (usually now natural mummies) and had to follow an A&P class in which cadaverissection was involved. The female patient died at 102 of natural causes. As the replacement was done with what was available.”

Horseshoe kidney-I have seen this twice in my 10-year-old mortuary career. I have seen many accessories that are very cute. I have so many other cool things, but these are there.”

“Oh, I just wanted to add that jumping maggots are one thing. Great times!”
