Oneida County Sheriffs Looking For Fugitive

    Oneida County, NY (Wutr/WFXV/WPNY) – The Sheriffs of Oneida County ask for help from the public when finding a fugitive business in a domestic violence.

    Joseph Mendoza is sought by Sheriffs on various charges that arise from two different arrests this year and last year.

    In December 2024, Sheriffs responded to a call for a domestic incident. Delegates tried to arrest Mendoza on accusation of that incident. When the police approached him, Mendoza led them to various chases. During an attempt to arrest Mendoza, he almost hit a sheriff from Oneida County with his vehicle.

    In January, Sheriffs responded to a complaint about mental hygiene hygiene legislation on claims that Mendoza made suicide statements to a family member. After various efforts to find Mendoza, he was eventually located and arrested by various sheriffs. While they tried to take Mendoza in custody, he failed to meet the orders of Sheriffs. Eventually a Stun gun was used and Mendoza was taken into custody without further incident.

    Mendoza was released on his own recognition after a previous guide. He was initially accused of:

    • first degree criminal contempt, a class E crime,

    • second -degree criminal contempt, a class A crime,

    • second -degree worsened intimidation, a class A crime,

    • Fourth degree stalking, A class B cremanor,

    • second -degree intimidation, a violation, and

    • An aggravated family burning, a class E crime.

    Sheriffs say that Mendoza violated a protection order on Wednesday 26 March during a physical domestic incident. According to Sheriffs, Mendoza fled from the stage in a gray Subaru Forester to the city of Rome.

    Sheriffs say that the license plate on the Subaru LRH-7732 is, as shown in the image above. If you see him, do not approach him and call the Oneida County Sheriff's Office on 315-736-0141 if you have information.
