North Georgia Man reported that his mother was missing. Representatives say he hid her body

A man from Noord -Georgia is confronted with charges after researchers say he reported that his mother was missing but actually hid her body.

Banks County representatives say that Jason Campbell, 34, reported that his mother, Marie Campbell, missing on January 6.

Jason Campbell was arrested on Tuesday and accused of hiding the death of a person.

“This meticulous research, which is being conducted by our researchers and forensic unit, is underway and more details will be released as they become available,” said Seriff Carlton Speed.

Researchers did not comment on how they heard that Marie Campbell had died or the cause of death.
