Musk donates to Gop members of the congress who support the judges

Elon Musk has made the maximum permitted donation to Republican Congress members of the congress who support the federal judges who hinder actions taken by President Trump, according to five people with knowledge of the case.

Until recently, Mr. Musk has given the legal maximum donation of hard dollar $ 6,600 to the campaigns of Zeven Republicans who have either approved judicial deposits or have called for a form of “action” in response to recent judgments against the Trump government, including a weekend decision by the James Eon. Boasberg.

On Saturday, Judge Boasberg ordered the administration to reverse aircraft that transport alleged Venezuelan hendons to El Salvador and return it to the United States. The administration did not comply with that order, which was concerned about a constitutional confrontation.

Mr. Trump then said on social media that Judge Boasberg should be dropped off.

Mr. Musk contributed to representatives Eli Crane van Arizona, Lauren Boebert from Colorado, Andy Ogles van Tennessee, Andrew Clyde van Georgia, Derrick van Orden van Wisconsin and Brandon Gill from Texas on Wednesday. He also gave Senator Charles E. Grassley, Republican of Iowa, according to two of the people who informed about this.

Mr. Gill introduced articles of accusation against Judge Boasberg after the judge had issued a temporary order that blocked the call of Mr Trump of the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 to deport the Venezuelans.

Mrs Boebert has said that she supports the accusation articles against Judge Boasberg, a position that Mr. Musk applauded on X, his social media site.

Mr. Crane introduced articles of accusation against judge Paul A. Engelmayer of the American court for the southern district of New York, who temporarily limited access that Mr. Musk's cost-saving team had to pay the payment and data systems of the Treasury Department.

“We didn't do it, so Elon Musk would give us a campaignonation,” Mr. Crane said in an interview shortly after learning the donation of Mr. Musk. “But I think it's great that individuals like Elon give support behind those among us who are willing to take action.”

Mr. Crane is considered vulnerable by Democrats in his re -election campaign of 2026.

Mr. Clyde said he “had no prior knowledge that Elon Musk would do a campaignedonation.” He added: “I am very grateful that he did that.”

And Mr Ogles, who introduced a resolution that would enable Mr. Trump to serve a third term, said he was “worshiped” to have the support of Mr. Musk. “His dedication is not only commendable – it is vital for the future of our Republic,” he said.

Mr. Musk did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

On Wednesday, Mr. Musk wrote on X: “More than two centuries there is never such an extreme abuse of the legal system by activists who occur as judges. Accusation of them.”

He previously called their decisions a 'judicial coup'.

Contributions to relatively safe Republican established operators sent a message about Mr. Musk's willingness to help the legislators support Mr Trump's agenda. And they underline how prepared Mr Musk has been to use the potential of his support to promote the goals of Mr Trump, including those of many Republican legislators to avoid, such as accusing a judge.

The donation to Mr Grassley, the chairman of the Senate Committee, was particularly remarkable. Mr. Grassley did not call on Judge Boasberg, but convicted the decision of deportation and suggested that the Senate would take action.

“Another day, another judge unilaterally decides a policy for the entire country,” Mr Grassley wrote on X. “This time to benefit foreign gang members if the Supreme Court or the congress does not determine, we are on our way to a constitutional crisis. Senate judge CMTE takes action.”

Mr. For weeks, Musk has ended the idea of accusing judges. But those calls have escalated in recent days. Mr. Trump, who has long been critical of judges he says to try to limit his authority, called for the same.

“Like many of the Crooked Judges', I have to be forced to appear, just like many of the Crooked Judges !!!” Mr. Trump wrote on Tuesday on his website of Social Media Truth Social.

Chief judge John G. Roberts Jr. Shortly after the position of Mr. Trump, it has been given a rare statement and said: “It has been established for more than two centuries that accusation is not an appropriate answer to a disagreement about a judicial decision.” He added: “The normal professional process exists for that purpose.”

Mr. Musk's efforts on behalf of Mr Trump will certainly intensify the attempts in the congress to please the billionary owner of SpaceX and Tesla, as well as the president, by following accusations of hearings against judges that they regard as hostile to the agenda of the administration.

Mr. Musk could of course also follow up with even more money for external groups that support the efforts that are not subject to contribution limits. He spent almost $ 300 million on the 2024 elections and his Super Pac has promised to concentrate on Down-Ballot races in 2025.

Mr. Musk has generally preferred supporting his own groups, rather than donating directly to politicians. During the general elections of 2024, Mr. Musk Dakt Donate to Mr. Musk's campaign. Trump, even while he invested large amounts of money in his Pro-Trump Super Pac. Recently, that Super PAC spent $ 1 million on a national advertisement that Mr Trump praises.
