Mesa County, Colo. (KREX) – On 1 May the MESA County Assessor's Office made reports of value (NOV) to all taxpayers as he closes the revaluation of 2025.
The Nov reflects the sale and analyzes of a real estate from January 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024. Tax accounts will be based on the actual value in January.
The office of the assessor encourages taxpayers to carefully study their NOV and to determine whether a property could have been sold for the actual value stated on 30 June 2024. Taxpayers can submit a protest if they believe that an error has been made.
In accordance with Colorado's law, the assessor began to hear objections to the appreciation of real estate on Thursday. All protests must be delivered or stamped on 9 June at the end of the working day.
On 15 June the appeal to the taxable business personal property will be accepted by the office of the assessor.
Mesa County TaxPayers can personally submit protests to the office of the assessor in the Mesa County Old Courthouse Annex, located on 544 Red Avenue between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Protests can also be submitted online, by fax on 970-24-1790, or sent to Department 5003, POX Boxbox
If taxpayers cannot appeal in the stated ways, they are encouraged to call the office of the assessor on 970-244-1720.
