Massachusetts -Schools announce closures for the winter storm on Thursday

    Schools in Massachusetts started to close on Wednesday before closures prior to a winter storm that is expected to bring a messy mix of snow, ice and rain to the region on Thursday.

    Boston 25 meteorologists have given us on a weather salarm and the National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advice for almost all Massachusetts.

    It is expected that roads are quickly covered with snow with cold temperatures in place, making traveling challenging most of the day.

    Snow is expected to arrive between 8 and 10 am, which will continue to exist in the afternoon before ice mixes. An omdra after mixed precipitation follows in some areas, including pockets of rain and freezing problems, ending between 5 pm and 7 pm

    Some parts of the state could see up to 5 centimeters of snow.

    A few closures were announced from Wednesday afternoon, but the list is expected to grow in the evening.
