Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) says her office called 911 to a protester who blew a whistle at her Friday night press conference after the heckler “attacked everyone” with the noise.
“As you can see, there are paid protesters here today,” Greene said as the sound of chaos echoed in the background outside the D.C. prison where Jan. 6 suspects are behind bars. The sound seemed to come entirely from a single protester. “And they can whistle and say anything they want, but we won’t be deterred. We don’t care about them because they work for evil,” Greene stated.
In a next tweetthe MAGA firebrand said the protester, who was wearing a mask and goggles, “must be arrested, and we’ve been trying to get him arrested.”
She claimed he “tried to attack me and other members several times.”
On Friday night, Greene spokesman Nick Dyer told The Daily Beast that after their office called local police about the whistleblower protester, police “didn’t arrive until after” the whistler had left the area.
“No one from prison has tried to stop it,” he added, citing a D.C. criminal code on disorderly conduct. “We were on hold for over four minutes on a call to 911.” The Metropolitan Police Department did not respond to The Daily Beast’s emailed request for comment and did not comment by telephone Friday night.
This isn’t the first time a Greene printer has been drowned out by a whistleblower.

In July 2021, for the Justice Department, Representative Matt Gaetz (R-FL) and Greene had to abort their event after the event went sideways.
“To the whistle: we will not be deterred,” the congressman added at the time.
