We really do wonder sometimes if people have secretly donated their brains, perhaps for scientific reasons or charity. For example, a man in Fishers, Indiana was caught on dashcam driving down the highway, standing on the seat of his motorcycle, at 104 mph while a police officer was in hot pursuit.
Man parks on his own lawn, gets arrested by police.
Fishers Police shared a video of the incident and it’s wild. The man doesn’t just stand on the chair for a moment, he does it for a long time. And he’s swerving around the road just for fun, like he’s doing a circus act.
Perhaps the man was looking for online clout and decided that his stunt on a cop’s dashcam was the best way to do it. Given how fame-hungry some social media users have become, it’s certainly a possibility.
Despite his best efforts, the officer was able to apprehend this daredevil and arrest him for reckless driving. We know some motorcycle enthusiasts will be upset that he wasn't arrested for reckless driving, but that's what the offense is called in Indiana and probably everywhere else.
The police have not yet released the identity of this rider, so if his plan was to become internet famous, that is not happening yet. And we are more than okay with that. People should not be profiting off of these kinds of stupid stunts, especially considering all the other lives he has put at risk.
Some users on X expressed doubts about the police claim that the man was driving 104 mph during the stunt. One person in particular claimed that if he was driving that fast, all the cars around him would be going about 90 mph.
Because the dashcam footage does not show the speed of the vehicle, we cannot confirm or deny Fishers Police's claim.
Even if he was only doing 65 mph while standing on the seat of his bike, swaying like he did, it's still a stupid stunt. That's the part that makes us wonder just how stupid this rider must be.
