Lindsey is said to be confronted with two accessory of accessory after the fact that a second -degree murder and was released from the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on a bond of $ 5,000. LSU reportedly suspended him from all football activities until the charges have been resolved.
The two murder suspects Lindsey is accused of hosting are 17-year-old Shemell Jacobs and the 18-year-old Keldrick Jordan, who are reportedly his friends of him and from the same hometown of Alexandria, Louisiana. They were arrested on Monday by the US Marshals service on LSU's Nicholson Gateway Dorms.
Jacobs and Jordan were reportedly searched for the charges of second-degree murder, in connection with the death of the 17-year-old Corey Brooks in Alexandria in May. It is apparently thought that they will stay in Lindsey's for almost two weeks on campus, apartment style, where Marshals reportedly found several weapons, including two AR-15 rifles.
Lindsey's lawyer Kris Perret claimed that his client was not aware of his friends who were searched for murder and was in the football camp when the situation took place. Via WAFB:
JT Lindsey is determined that he is harmless of any alleged criminal misconduct and any accusations of misconduct against him. He works completely with the authorities and looks at it from his name to clean up as quickly as possible.
He did not know that the people arrested had committed any crimes or that they had been accused of crimes, or that they were sought by the police for questioning when he allowed them to stay in his apartment.
If he had known that the individuals were accused of some crimes or were sought by the police, he would not have allowed them in his apartment or in any way associated with them.
However, the arrest warrant claims that it is “very unlikely” that Lindsey did not know what his friends were accused of, claiming that one of his employees told the researchers that he knew they were desirable:
“Given the size of Alexandria and the narrow tires that Lindsey had to have both the victims and the suspects in the case, it is very unlikely that he would not have been aware of these reports in the media. Researchers also interviewed an employee of Lindsey, who advised Lindsey to tell the employee before Moets.
Jacobs and Jordan have been desired since May, with the police of Alexandria issued a public plea for help finding it. Police chef Chaad Gremillion said specifically: “Let me be clear, everyone has found protection or accommodation of these violent persons will be held responsible and arrested” in a statement to the media.

LSU Athletics Communications Director Michael Bonnette issued a brief explanation to WAFB and said: “We are conscious and have no comments out of respect for the legal process.”

In 2024 he hurried for 2,476 Yards and 33 touchdowns on 324 Carry's for Alexandria and earned the Warrick Dunn Award, the annual honor of the Louisiana High School Athletic Association that recognizes the top Junior or Senior football player in the state.
