Locals in the city of Greater Manchester were shocked when the river began to foam

Locals in Dukinfield, Greater Manchester, were shocked today when the River Tame became covered in mysterious foam. Roads and cars were covered with white bubbles, carried by the wind. Resident Sam Pedder expressed his disbelief, saying this is the worst he has seen in 34 years. An Environment Agency spokesperson thanked the public for reporting the incident and is investigating the cause, believed to be pollutants dumped upstream.
