Kremlin rejects the accusation of Ukraine that Russia has attacked Chornobyl nuclear plant

    MOSKOU (REUTERS) – The Kremlin rejected on Friday as a “provocation” accusations of Ukraine that a Russian drone had damaged the shelter of the inclusion in the Chornobyl nuclear power plant at night.

    Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said he had no precise information about the alleged incident, but that Russia does not attack nuclear infrastructure.

    “The Russian army doesn't do that. They don't do that. This is probably just another provocation,” said Peskov.

    “That is exactly what the KYIV regime likes to do and sometimes does not shy away from.”

    The Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zenskiy and the Nuclear Energy -Waakhond van de UN both said that the radiation levels remained normally after the incident, which came as top USA, Ukrainian and European officials gathered at the safety conference of München to the war in Ukraine.
