Jimmy Kimmel says: “I did get Italian citizenship” because Trump's presidency “is so bad as you thought it would be. It's so worse '

Does Jimmy Kimmel prepare to leave the United States in the midst of Donald Trump's presidency? Perhaps not his work commitment to ABC's 'Jimmy Kimmel Live', but he certainly gives himself an exit plan if necessary by obtaining Italian citizenship this year. Celebrities such as Rosie O'Donnell and Ellen Degeneres fled the US last fall after Trump beat Kamala Harris in the presidential elections. Kimmel confirmed on “The Sarah Silverman Podcast” (via the Daily Beast) that a door is open to him to follow the example.

“Many people I think about, where are they going to get citizenship?” Silverman said about the response to Trump.

“I did get Italian citizenship,” Kimmel replied. 'What's going on [with Trump] Is so bad if you thought it would be. It's so much worse; It's just incredible. I feel that it is probably even worse than he would like. “

Kimmel regularly bases Trump during his late-night monologues, so much so that Trump has talked that “Jimmy Kimmel Live” will be canceled the next late night show after CBS had given the ax to Stephen Colbert and “The Late Show”. Kimmel responded to Trump with this comment: “I hear you are the next. Or maybe it's just a wonderful secret.” The expression “Wonderful Secret” is a reference to a story by Wall Street Journal, published on July 17, that claimed that Trump sent a letter to Jeffrey Epstein in 2003 that was recorded in a birthday album of Beweldenden.

O'Donnell, who also base on a consistent basis, moved to Ireland in the aftermath of Trump's victory. When recently asked by Variety If she had plans to return to the United States, she replied: “With the current political climate it would be safe to come back with my child? I will not push it before this administration is fully completed and hopefully held responsible for their crimes.”

As far as Kimmel is concerned, he explained Silverman during the podcast interview that he is not a resentment against those who voted on Trump if they decide to change thoughts and become a member of the opposition.

“Now you see these clips from Joe Rogan say:” Why is he doing this? Why do you deport people? “And people go,” Fuck you! You supported it. ” I don't buy in that, “said Kimmel. “The door must remain open. If you want to change your mind, it is so difficult to do. If you want to admit that you are wrong, it is so difficult and so rare to do. You are welcome [to do so]. “
