Various sandbag locations are open on Mondays and Tuesdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m

Sandbags are limited to 10 per person. Bags are first come, first served and have a limited supply. If necessary, the province will replenish the locations. You will have to fill your own bags.

Spades are not present. Residents must bring their own to fill their bags.

Debris collection

Disaster debris vendors will begin collecting piles of vegetative storm debris on Monday, October 7. The new waste company, FCC Environmental Services, will collect garden waste in bags and containers. We know there are concerns about debris during this storm. Crews will clear storm debris as long as conditions remain safe and will resume as soon as it is safe to do so.

Will continue to work closely with FCC Environmental Services to handle waste collection. They will come pick you up on Monday and Tuesday. Clay will keep their community informed as the storm approaches about any delayed collections. Crews will collect trash and yard waste as long as conditions remain safe and resume as soon as it is safe to do so.

It is too early to make any decisions about closures at this time. Clay will be sure to share any potential decisions Clay County District Schools makes regarding school closures. They will also announce any government closures, and this includes the closure of our libraries, parks, animal shelters and other facilities and programs.
