Starting this week, Americans can now order more free COVID-19 tests.
During his State of The Union address, President Biden emphasized that his administration is “leaving no one behind or ignoring anyone’s needs as we move forward.” As COVID-19 cases dwindle and many states relax mandates, experts have warned that if COVID-19 is allowed to spread, the virus could continue to mutate with new, potentially deadly variants.
“We’ve made hundreds of millions of tests available for you to order for free,” Biden said during his speech. “We have to prepare for new variants.”

How do you get free COVID-19 tests?
According to the US Postal Service (USPS), Americans can start placing their orders this week for a second round of free at-home COVID-19 testing. People can visit https://www.covidtests.gov/ to order their free home tests or go directly to the USPS order form: https://special.usps.com/testkits.

What type of COVID-19 test can you order?
You can place an order for individual rapid antigen COVID-19 testing through the US Postal Service website.
How many free COVID-19 tests can you order?
You can place two orders per residential address (each order contains four tests).
If you’re concerned that a recent order could affect your ability to request free test kits, Biden assured that “even if you’ve already ordered free tests tonight, I’m announcing that you can get more starting next week.” order from covidtests.gov.”
When can you expect them?
During the first distribution of free rapid antigen COVID-19 testing last January, Americans were told it would take seven to 12 days for their orders to ship.
