Canton – The new weather forecast of Mix 94.1 will be out of the sky for a few days.
Hollie Strano, the former WKYC Channel 3 -TV meteorologist, announced that she will not handle the prediction for the coming days, while recovering from an injury that will be sustained at the weekend.
“What a wild weekend!” She said in a Facebook message. “Grady moved to Osu and I met the Osu paramedics and the great ERE team in the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.”
Strano said she was injured as she helped her son set up his dormitory.
“It seems that making a dormitory can be dangerous for your health,” she said in a Facebook message. “9 Staples later and the worst concussion ever. So I will be abruptly authentic and radio for a few days.”
When did Strano become a member of MIX-94 FM in Canton?
Last week Strano announced that she would join the team at MIX 94.1 and deliver the prediction of Monday-Sunday from 6 am to 10 pm
“Now you know where you can find me in Ne Ohio!” She said in a Facebook message. “So much love for you Stark County and Canton!”
Strano was fired from WKYC last year. Her termination came nine months after she was accused of driving a vehicle under the influence in November 2023.
“I am sad to share that after 22 years of dedicated work, WKYC and Tegna decided to end my work after I had publicly shared my recovery trip,” she posted after her termination. “I believe that the actions of WKYC and Tegna reveal the stigma around addiction that so much in our community experience every day.”
WKYC has denied misconduct and asked that Stano's lawsuit would be rejected against the company.
