During the operations in the Gaza Strip, soldiers took knowledge of a figure waving with a white flag in their direction and for help.
A Hamas terrorist disguised as a hostage tried to lure IDF soldiers to a possible fall on Monday evening, N12 reported Tuesday, referring to the unit of the IDF spokesperson.
During the operations in the Gaza Strip, soldiers reportedly gave knowledge of a figure waving with a white flag in their direction and for help. Thinking that the figure was a hostage rode the soldiers for help.
“Extensive searches were carried out,” said the army, as reported by N12. “After no further findings had been discovered, it was established that the incident did not mean hostages, but probably, probably, the enemy.”

Three hostages wrongly killed by IDF Fire
In December 2023, Yotam Chaim, Samer Talalka and Alon Shamrioz were wrongly killed by IDF Fire in the Gaza Strip after they had succeeded in fleeing from Hamas.
The three raised a white flag, cried for help in Hebrew and exposed their upper bodies so that no one would suspect that they hid a bomb under their shirts.
According to a first probe, the hostages were near a building with the words “help” and “SOS” sprayed on the outside walls. The IDF had also found a message that two days before the fatal argument said 'Three hostages – Help' on the building.
