Regarding non-AI functions, satellite messages will expand in the new Pixel drop. The Pixel 9 series is one of a handful of phones with satellite connectivity. When you are outside of cellular coverage, pixel telephones can connect to compatible satellite networks to get emergency aid. This function was previously only in the Continental US, but now it is coming to Canada, Alaska, Hawaii and Europe. Support for satellite functions for Carrier is also extensive. With the launch, only Pixels used the own satellite -SOS system from Google, which is provided for free for the first two years. The new Pixel drop adds Verizon and T-Mobile as supported carriers for satellite messages.
The Pixel 9 -family also gets a handy new video record trick. After installing the Pixel Drop -Update you can connect a pixel to another pixel or a GoPro camera to record video from two different angles at the same time. Google says that mobile recordings look more professional and expand shooting options. Only one phone needs to be a pixel 9; The other can be a pixel 6 or later. However, if it is used a GoPro, this must be the GoPro Hero10 Black or Nieuwer from 2021 and his app -support limited to Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Tiktok and Snapchat.
Something for everyone
Even if you don't have a pixel telephone, Google has a few goodies waiting for you. These functions come to all currently supported Android phones, including pixels.
The AI SCAM detection function of Pixel phones is available for all Android devices in a more limited form. If someone tries to inform you about text in the Google -app, the AI can recognize that (possibly) and warn you, just like on a pixel 6 to 8. Only Pixel 9 phones only have the telephone booth of telephone calls.
