Germany and allies to send a large military aid to Ukraine using a new NATO feeding line

Berlin (AP) Germany announced on Wednesday that it will work with a group of Western Backers of Ukraine to provide a package of military aid to the war destroyed by war of a maximum of $ 500 million with the help of a new NATO food line.

Earlier this month, NATO began to coordinate regular deliveries of large weapon packages to Ukraine after the Netherlands said that air defense equipment, ammunition and other military aid worth 500 million euros ($ 582 million) would offer.

Sweden announced the next day that it would contribute to a joint effort, together with its Nordic Buren Denmark and Norway to provide $ 500 million in air defenses, anti-tank weapons, ammunition and spare parts.

The German Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Defense said that support is aimed at equipment such as “critical air defense options. These are urgently needed to defend themselves against the current air attacks of Russia, who kill more and more citizens in Ukraine.”

The United Nations have said that Russia's ruthless stamping of urban areas behind the front line has killed more than 12,000 Ukrainian citizens.

Two deliveries of equipment, the majority of it in the United States, were planned for this month, although the Nordic package arrived earlier in September. Germany did not mention the group that would work with.

The equipment is supplied based on the priority needs of Ukraine on the battlefield. NATO bondmates then find the weapons and ammunition and send them on.

Germany has given Ukraine military support or promised worth around 40 billion euros ($ 47 billion) since Russia launched its full invasion in February 2022.
