Fox News host Jesse Watters was forced to defend a poorly worded criticism of Vice President Kamala Harris during Monday's edition of The Five.
His colleagues, including Jeanine Pirro, immediately criticized him for saying that if Harris is elected president, the generals in the Situation Room “will have their way with her.”
Watters, who once raised the possibility that Harris had a “typical woman problem” when she was vice president for a year, insisted he was trying to suggest that Harris lacked foreign policy credentials.
“What is her foreign policy?” Watters asked. “This is where the president has the most influence. As commander in chief, you have a lot of wiggle room there. We don't know who she is. We don't know what she believes. She's going to be paralyzed in the Situation Room while the generals have their way with her.”
Pirro, who had previously made outrageous criticisms of Harris, immediately disagreed with the comment.
“I don't like that. Take it back,” she demanded, as Dana Perino cursed at him using his full name.
Watters tried to explain.
“Figuratively, again: have their way with her! Control her. Not in a sexual way,” he replied with a grin, as Greg Gutfeld laughed.
Watters then argued that it was “politically brilliant” for Trump to go to Arlington National Cemetery for the memorial service for the 13 soldiers killed during the US withdrawal from Afghanistan.
There, at the graves, Trump gave a smile and a thumbs up.
