Duterte, the Maverick -for example mayor who led the Philippines from 2016 to 2022, received a detention warrant from Hong Kong on Tuesday at the most important airport of Manila.
The “War on Drugs” was the characteristic campaign platform of Duterte that the former public prosecutor wiped into power and he soon made promises he made during vitriolic speeches to kill thousands of drug tanks and users.
Filipino President Ferdinand Marcos JR said on Tuesday that a plane with former leader Rodrigo Duterte Filipino airspace has left on his way to The Hague.
Marcos said Duterte was arrested in accordance with an Interpol request and that Duterte is expected to be confronted with charges with regard to his war against drugs.
