Fatal accident closes road in Las Vegas, expected to last 8 hours

    LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — At least one person was killed in a crash near the Spaghetti Bowl in Las Vegas early Saturday morning, shutting down traffic at the fairgrounds, law enforcement officials said.

    The post on X came just before 8 a.m., when Nevada State Police officials announced that the northbound I-15 to southbound US-95, southbound US-95 to southbound I-15, and southbound I-15 to southbound US-95 were all closed due to the crash. At the time, officials said the roads were expected to remain closed for eight hours or more.

    No information was immediately released about the details of the fatal crash. Nevada State Police did not say how many people were injured or killed in the crash, or how many vehicles were involved.

    Commuters were asked to avoid the area.
