It is not every day that you get a trailer for a new, live-action predator film, but today it is one of those days. Studios from the 20th century have just released the first teaser for Predator: BadlandsA feature film that makes the classic film monster unconventionally a protagonist.
The film follows Dek (Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi), a young member of the predator species and the society that has been banned. He will work closely with a Weyland-Yutani Android named Thia (Elle Fanning) to bring down “the Ultimate Strversary”, which the trailer calls a being that “cannot be killed”. The opponent looks like a very large monster that we have never seen before, based on a few shots in the trailer.
It is said that some or all films take place in the home world of Predator, and the film is planning to greatly expand mythology around the culture, language and customs of the predators. It is intended as an independent film in the Predator/Alien Universe.
