Dosker Manor is experiencing another power outage after residents were left without electricity for more than 20 hours less than two weeks ago.
The outage occurred around noon in one of Dosker Manor's three buildings because of a burst sprinkler in an apartment, causing flooding that eventually knocked out the building's electrical system, said Jailen Leavell, spokesman for the Louisville Metro Housing Authority.
LMHA is working with the Louisville Metro Government to provide accommodations for residents and crews are working to address the situation. Power is expected to be restored by Sunday.
As previously reported by The Courier Journal, Dosker Manor residents frequently report health and safety issues and it is one of LMHA's most problematic complexes and is currently slated for demolition.
