Donald Trump is the legendary Man of Steel — at least, according to a meme the Republican presidential candidate posted to his Truth Social account.
The image shows Trump and several associates and supporters depicted as superhero characters from DC's cinematic universe. The 45th U.S. president is depicted as Superman, while his VP running mate, J.D. Vance, is apparently supposed to be Batman. (See full image below.)

The roster also includes Elon Musk, the pro-Trump mega-billionaire CEO of Tesla and SpaceX who owns X (formerly Twitter), as the half-human/half-robot Cyborg, and entrepreneur, investor and former presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy as the Flash. Former U.S. Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard is dressed as Wonder Woman, and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who recently dropped his independent presidential campaign and endorsed Trump, appears to be Aquaman. The Trump 2024 campaign announced the addition of RFK Jr. and Gabbard to the transition team earlier this week.
According to a report from the Daily Beast, the DC superhero meme “originated from an X user who primarily posts about the former president and Indian politics and cinema.”
Representatives for Warner Bros. and DC did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Trump's message.
According to the Daily Beast article, “Trump and his aides have a long history of trying to compare the real estate mogul turned political fire-eater to the Man of Steel,” with the article noting that Trump’s 50th birthday party depicted him as Superman as part of a diorama next to the cake.
Trump has portrayed himself as a Superman-like superhero in other contexts. The former president launched a series of digital trading cards in late 2022, including one in which he is dressed in a superhero costume (with a capital “T”) with lasers shooting from his eyes.
