Donald Trump Jr.’s question about the “truth” from Fox News gets brutally honest answers

Donald Trump Jr., son of Donald Trump, is annoyed that Tucker Carlson’s attempt to rewrite the history of the January 6 attack on the US Capitol is not getting much attention from the rest of Fox News.

Carlson, who was given exclusive access to the Jan. 6 security footage from House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), singled out the video to claim that the rioters were, in fact, just “tourists” and not violent insurgents out to get Trump to keep in power.

But Carlson’s opinion has not caught on in the halls of Congress, where even GOP lawmakers condemned his claims, or elsewhere on Fox News.

Trump Jr. refers to a Mediaite report stating that Carlson’s report is being “quietly buried by the network”.

    Trump Jr. asked:

Despite his ties to Carlson’s gaslighting attempt, Trump Jr. what happened as events unfolded on January 6.

β€œHe needs to condemn this mess as soon as possible. The tweet from the Capitol Police Department is not enough,” he texted then-White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, according to reports obtained by the committee on Jan. 6.

Meadows said he “pushed” Trump to do so.

“We need an Oval Office address,” Trump Jr. replied. “He has to lead now. It has gone too far and has gotten out of hand.”

Critics of the ex-president’s son fired back at his tweet by noting that Fox News is already being sued for $1.6 billion over its other false claims related to the 2020 election and its aftermath.

Some also pointed to newly revealed posts showing Carlson Trump Sr. actually “passionate” hate.
