The vehicle of a Sacramento woman who was missing last month with her baby was immersed in a central Californian channel, and the body of an adult and baby was found indoors, the police said on Sunday.
Whisper Owen, 36, and her 8 -month -old daughter, Sandra McCarty, were last seen on July 15 after a visit to the family in Fresno, said the Sheriff of Fresno County last month.
The couple traveled home in a silver Chevrolet trail blower from 2006, which was last recorded on a traffic camera in the city of Atwater, north of Fresno, a few hours after they left.
Family she expected them in every rough, in Sacramento County, but due to miscommunication they did not realize that Owen was missing for three days, family members told CNN on July 28.
A non-profit diving team found a vehicle that matched the description of Owen on Sunday in Oakdale, about 45 minutes north of Atwater, a spokesperson for the San Joaquin Sheriff office said.

The Sheriff office and the diving team went to the site and the bodies of an adult and baby were found in the vehicle, the spokesperson said. The office of the medical researcher will formally identify the bodies, but the family of the missing woman was at the diving location and identified the vehicle as her, the spokesperson said.
The vehicle was found during a search for a waterway in the area of Highway 120 and Victory Road in San Joaquin County, according to a spokesperson for the Fresno Police Department, who is responsible for the research.
The San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office and California Highway Patrol investigate how the vehicle ended up in the water, the police said in a statement.
“We sent two Fresno PD – detectives to the scene on Highway 120 and Victory Road to continue our research and to work together with the Sheriff department with regard to details of the recovery,” continued the statement.
“We continue to support whisper and Sandra's family through our detectives and will also offer extra support to the family through our Fresno Police and Fire Chaplainscy.”
Owen had been to Fresno for a routine control for the baby, her mother, Vickie Torres, told CNN last month. They left the city around 5 p.m., hoping to get home – about 158 miles away – before dark.
When she did not get home, her partner thought she was lagging behind to help her mother tidy up a house she had just bought, her brother told CNN last month. Her partner did not know that something was wrong until the following Saturday, when the two would normally spend the weekend together, said Richard Owen.
Owen's partner contacted her family – then they realized that she had missed for three days – and her mother reported her missing in the Fresno County Sheriff office.
