Deadly floods leave a trail of destruction in New Mexico

    Two people were killed after record-breaking rainfall overnight on Sunday, Oct. 20, caused major flash flooding in parts of southeastern New Mexico.

    Speaking to media, New Mexico State Police spokeswoman Amanda Richards said two people were killed in Roswell, where nearly six inches of rain fell Saturday evening, breaking the previous record set in 1901 of 7.5 inches.
