
A man who is accused of leading the Pennsylvania state police on a chase on route 28 has been sentenced to prison.
The Ministry of Justice said that Derik Carothers, 29, from Washington, led the police for a rapid chase on route 28 on October 20 in 2019. The crash ended in a Rollover crash in South Buffalo Township.
Troopers reported that crack cocaine, a digital scale and $ 290 at that time found on Carothersers. Four loaded guns were found in the vehicle along a bulletproof vest. Two of those guns were stolen and one was removed his serial number.
At the time of that arrest, Carothers had already been convicted of a burglary and arms costs from Cambria County.
He was sentenced to 10 years in prison, followed by three years of guided release.
