Colin Jost throws Trump out in ‘Weekend Update’ on his visit to Eastern Palestine

“Weekend Update” host Colin Jost didn’t hold back when he ripped former President Donald Trump last week for his visit to the disaster-stricken community of eastern Palestine, Ohio (You can watch an excerpt from the clip below).

Trump, who praised the quality of his water bottle brand during the visit, was held back by the community hit by a toxic chemical spill — and later chemical burn — from a train derailment in Norfolk Southern earlier this month.

Jost, who also lashed out at President Joe Biden’s response to the disaster, mocked the former president — and Rudy Giuliani — on the “Saturday Night Live” segment.

“Donald Trump visited East Palestine, the site of the recent train derailment, because Trump usually tries to make himself look better by standing next to a train wreck,” Jost joked when a photo of Giuliani appeared next to him.

“The train that derailed was carrying highly toxic vinyl chloride, which I believe is something Trump has recommended as a cure for COVID.”

He later poked fun at the former president for distributing his water to residents and took note of the Trump administration’s rollback of safety regulations.

“Now what, is he going to visit all the migrant kids he caged and give them a gift card to Dave & Buster’s?” Jost asked before the “SNL” crowd groaned.
