China is planning to show off new equipment on Parade Marking 80th Anniversary of Japan's WWII Surrender

Beijing (AP) – China is planning to hold a military parade on September 3, September that marks the 80 -year anniversary of the Japanese surrender of the Second World War and entails the latest weapons of the People Liberation Army.

President and head of the military XI Jinping will give a speech on the occasion, with 'new combat possibilities', including hypersonic weapons and a series of electronic equipment, said Wu Zeke, identified as a senor officer of the PLA, the military wing of the ruling communist party.

The power is the world's largest standing army with more than 2 million members and an increasingly advanced arsenal of rockets, aircraft carriers and fighter aircraft.

Military Parades are a favorite of XIs, mainly kept to mark the birthday of the founding of the People's Republic in 1949, the surrender of Japan and the birthday of the founding of the PLA. Conceptlessly drilled marching units, armored columns and air units are all on such occasions.

Wu said that the recording of the newest generation of weapons shows that the PLAs' strong ability to adapt to technological trends and to evolve warfare, and to prevail in future wars, reported Xinhua's official news agency.

Japan launched an invasion of China in 1937 and grabbed a lot from East -China. The majority of the fighting against Japan was carried out by the nationalists, who later retired to the island of Taiwan after they had been driven out of the mainland by the Communists.

Much of the enormous military upgrading of China is aimed at conquering Taiwan, who still regards China part of its territory, and replaces the United States as the most important military power in the Asia pacific.
