A freak accident that claimed the life of a 5-year-old boy from Ventura County and destroyed his family and friends has led to an outpouring of donations from all over the country.
At the end of August the young Maxwell Haworth played with his best friend at Rincon Beach in Ventura, his parents watched from the sand, when he climbed on the edge of the water on a few rocks, slid out, causing a rock to fall on him, De la Times reported.
Daniel Kessler, a besides being a family member of the Haworths, said Maxwell's father came into action.
“His father picked him up and went to the parking lot with him in his arms to get some help,” he explained. “They did everything they could.”
According to the Sheriff's Department of Ventura County, Maxwell was seriously injured in the accident and later that day he collapsed in a local hospital at his injuries.
The 5-year-old, described as joyful and energetic with a loving attitude, was the only child of his parents and had just started the kindergarten.
“The family is just deeply sad that they will not see him grow up,” Kessler told The Times.

In the days after Maxwell's death, family friend Bryan Holloway organized a GoFundme to raise money for the funeral, complaint therapy and other burdens that can occur during this unimaginable time.

“My friends are not the ones to ask someone, but we know they need some support they can get,” he wrote on the page.
In the two weeks since the tragic accident, nearly 670 donations, some from Chicago and Atlanta, have collected the family more than $ 67,000 to the purpose of $ 80,000.
In an update post on the page a week after the campaign was organized, Holloway shared the thanks of the family for the outing and support of support.
