Bird Passion catches the size of floods in Canterbury

    A helicopter team called in to transport a resident on the South Island of New Zealand, caught bird-pressed images that unveiled the size of floods in Canterbury.

    This video, posted on Facebook by GCH Aviation and filmed by one of the paramedics on board, shows flooded roads and fields in Akaroa.

    “While the rain falls today in the Canterbury region, the closing of roads. Our Air Rescue Helicopter team was called to Akaroa to safely transport a patient to the Christchurch -Hospital,” the source wrote.

    NZ -Transportbureau Waka Kotahi (NZTA) urged the locals on Thursday to prevent them from traveling on the roads due to the wet weather.
